Writer, journalist, UX storyteller

About

who am i?

My first great passion was writing; I’m graphomaniac. I’ve written for newspapers, digital media, blogs, for transcreation projects, user experiences… and in two thousands of napkins, as well. I’m from Mexico, so I speak fluently in Spanish. English was the second language that I learned. German is my secret love, and French-reading a hobby of mine. UX writing is one of the things that brings the best out of me: words tailored to the technological realm, in which the people are central.

UX Writing

UX teams need people who can deliver powerful, precise and simple texts. I am a team member that seeks to deliver a polished product through research, metrics and user testing. For me, a call to action is nothing without
involving the user.

Storytelling

Brands and experiences need storytelling. I am an enthusiast of telling more through stories, since I've worked in journalism. I deliver fresh-engaging content, but I also pursue to explain complex topics through narrative.

Creative Writing

From short stories to non-fiction, writing for artistic purposes fulfil my creative side. I'm curious by nature, so I write reviews, essays, and prose. I send a biweekly newsletter called 'Escríbeme pronto' with pieces of my work.

Westfield London

An Information Architecture and UXW case

This exercise for Westfield London reveals the power of primary research to deliver high-quality UX Writing.  Personas, journey maps and an empathy map were developed to understand the users inside the mall and their necessities. Additionally, the complex original information architecture of the website was simplified.

Orange

Ideation, teamwork and agile methodologies at once

As part of the Interactive Media MA at the University of Westminster, I’m currently collaborating in a live-project with Orange. I work with a multicultural team of students to ideate an innovative and technological solution to tackle plastic waste. My responsibilities included analysing and displaying information about the demographics and scalability of the project. Right now, I’m part of the developers of an AR experience that will be delivered through recyclable packaging.

Konfío

Complex ideas turned simple

Sister is the prototype of an app in which women can report street harassment events, discover safe places and enjoy offers only for them. The GPS-app involved n important secondary research about the problem and copywriting to promote the idea.
